Hi Stephanie I love your photos. Any tips or secrets? what camera do you use? And how do you get that black background in some pics. love love love.

I use a Canon DSLR with either a 50mm or 100mm lens. I try to use a tripod as much as possible. The black background that I sometimes use is a very low tech set up comprising a large piece of foamcore, synthetic felt and pegs.
There’s a lot of great (and free) info on the web about photography, such as Digital Photography School or DIY Photography. I try to read as much as I can and, of course, practise.
